The odds to win Super Bowl 57 are highlighted by the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles surging into the Top 3, with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills separating themselves from the pack as the overall favorite in Super Bowl XLVII odds. However, in the waning minutes of Week 7's Thursday Night Football matchup, the San Francisco 49ers made a big splash by acquiring superstar running back Christian McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers. How much does CMC's return to the Bay Area shift the NFL odds outlook for the Niners? Find out in our latest Super Bowl odds, ahead of Week 7's weekend action.
Here’s a look at the current odds and favorites to win the Big Game in Arizona on February 12, 2023.
Any concerns around the heartbreak of Buffalo's playoff loss to end last season were put to bed in Week 1, as the Bills dominated the Rams in a game that was hardly competitive. Buffalo has followed it up by repeatedly proving their status as the league's best team. Easy wins over the Titans and Steelers sandwich fantastic wins over the Ravens and Chiefs, as well as a grueling loss in South Beach to the Dolphins.
The Eagles looked so good, so deep, and so complete on paper ahead of the season that it would seemingly come down to QB play. Well, Jalen Hurts has moved into the Top 3 in NFL MVP odds, so it's fitting to see Philly's Super Bowl odds crack the Top 3 after a 6-0 start. The Eagles have won with Hurts playing like an MVP candidate, and with him just being average. Philly's feeling great as it heads into its bye week.
The Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes started with wins easy and then gutsy to go 2-0, before a Week 3 setback against the Colts. For as flat as that loss to Indy was, Kansas City's Week 4 win was entirely impressive. Mahomes diced up a great Bucs defense in a relentless showing, with KC winning 41-31. The former MVP continued his prime-time heroics in Week 5, combining with Travis Kelce to come back against the Raiders in epic fashion. In what could be an AFC Championship game preview, Mahomes was unable to knock off Allen and the Bills at Arrowhead, throwing the game-sealing pick.
The Bucs got help from opponents early, starting 2-0 on the back of lethargic showings from the Cowboys and Saints, but were unable to capitalize on the Packers' offensive woes in Week 3 and then fell to the Chiefs in Week 4 to sit at .500. Tampa's uninspiring start continued in Week 5, with a phantom penalty saving the Bucs' day... but they weren't so lucky in Week 6, as they played terribly in a loss to the Steelers.
Behind the Bills, Chiefs, and Eagles, the NFL is a league of pretenders at the moment. So, congratulations to the Minnesota Vikings for cracking the Top 5 amid a seemingly impossible 5-1 start. The Kirk Cousins-ing could be right around the corner with Minnesota in its bye week but times are good for the Norsemen, for now.
As bettors were getting ready to call it a night with the Cardinals dispatching the New Orleans Saints, everyone was put back on high alert when Adam Schefter dropped a bomb: former Carolina Panthers star RB Christian McCaffrey was headed to the San Francisco 49ers.
Daniel Weinman was crowned winner of the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event on Monday, taking home a record breaking $12.1 million in winnings. Weinman had to outlast the other 10,043 entrants to take home the prize and get his hands on his share of live poker’s largest ever prize pool – a staggering $93,399,900. As well as taking home the prize money, 35-year-old Weinman also got his hands on the WSOP Main Event bracelet. The huge bracelet contains 500 grams of 10-karat yellow gold, as well as 2,352 various precious gemstones.
Daniel Weinman won the World Series of Poker's main event world championship on Monday in Las Vegas, earning $12.1 million along the way. Playing in the tournament for a 16th year, Weinman was tops in a deep pool of 10,043 players vying for $93.39 million. His victory came after just 164 hands at the final table. "I was honestly on the fence about even coming back and playing this tournament," the 35-year-old Atlanta native told reporters afterward. Weinman's final table featured Jan-Peter Jachtmann, who landed in fourth place and took home $3 million, as well as Toby Lewis, who finished seventh and secured $1.42 million. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the main event's entry pool far outpaced the previous record of 8,773 set in 2006. "I've always kind of felt that poker was kind of going in a dying direction, but to see the numbers at the World Series this year has been incredible," Weinman said. "And to win this main event, it doesn't feel real. I mean, [there's] so much luck in a poker tournament. I thought I played very well." Steven Jones finished second, securing $6.5 million. And Adam Walton settled for third and a $4 million prize.
